Controller and scope

wahrnehmbar.ch gmbh is responsible for personal data processed through this marketing website and its enquiries. Restaurant menus and optional guest engagement or AI services may involve additional processing described in the relevant restaurant notice and service agreement.

Website operation

When your browser requests a page or media, our hosting systems process technical information such as IP address, requested URL, time, browser information and response status to deliver and secure the website, troubleshoot errors and prevent abuse. Fonts, dish models and demonstration videos are served by this website; the demonstration video is not a YouTube embed.

Enquiries and business relationships

The contact form asks for your name, restaurant, email address or phone number and city. These details are sent to our server, stored in our enquiry database and emailed to filip@visualbite.ch so we can respond, arrange a demonstration and prepare an offer. Correspondence and later contract or invoice information are processed to manage the business relationship. Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to a newsletter or authorise personalised advertising. Please do not send health data, guest lists, payment card details or confidential passwords in this form.

Service providers and countries

Railway Corporation provides website and API hosting; the current application region is Amsterdam, Netherlands. Supabase provides our enquiry database; its primary project region is Ireland. Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France) delivers enquiry notification emails from servers in the European Union. Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. (Ireland) processes payments made through restaurant menus (see below). These providers may also process service, support and security data in the United States through their organisations and subprocessors. Mail for visualbite.ch is received through Hostinger, which also processes our correspondence under its data processing terms. We disclose data to authorised personnel and providers only as needed for their tasks, and to authorities or advisers where legally required or necessary to establish or defend rights.

Payments through restaurant menus

Where a restaurant on the Growth or Performance plan enables online payment, guests can pay their order or bill from the menu with TWINT, payment cards, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., Dublin, Ireland, for the restaurant, which is the seller and receives the payment directly in its own Stripe account. Card and TWINT details are entered on Stripe’s secure payment page; VisualBite does not receive or store them. We process the order details, table number, amount, payment status and timestamps needed to pass the order to the restaurant and show it in its dashboard. Stripe processes payment and fraud-prevention data as an independent controller under its own privacy policy, including outside Switzerland and in the United States. Receipts and VAT for food and drinks are issued by the restaurant.

International transfers

Processing is not limited to Switzerland. For the Netherlands, Ireland and France, Swiss recognised adequate protection applies. The providers’ data processing terms include contractual safeguards for other transfers, including standard contractual clauses with Swiss adaptations where applicable. You can request information about the safeguards relevant to your data from us. Foreign authorities may have different access powers and legal remedies may differ. Provider details: Railway, Supabase, Brevo, Stripe.

Cookies and browser storage

This marketing website currently has no Google Analytics, Google Ads conversion or remarketing tags, and sets no optional advertising or analytics cookies. Our cookie settings record, vb_cookie_consent, can be stored locally in your browser to remember the necessary-only setting for up to 180 days. It is not an advertising identifier and is not sent to our server. Browser caching helps load media and is separate from advertising tracking. You can open Cookie settings in the footer or remove browser storage at any time; the website and enquiry form work without optional cookies.

Planned Google services

We are considering Google Ads conversion measurement, remarketing and Google Analytics 4. They are not activated on this website. Before activation, we will update this notice with the actual configuration, recipients and retention periods and obtain fresh, separate choices for analytics, advertising measurement and personalised advertising. Refusing will be as easy as accepting, and consent can be withdrawn in the footer. No optional Google tag will load before the relevant consent. Google services may process IP addresses, device and event information, cookie identifiers and advertising interactions, including in the United States. We will not upload contact-form details for enhanced conversions or customer lists without a separate assessment and appropriate information and permissions.

Retention and security

We keep enquiry data while needed to answer and follow up the enquiry or manage a resulting relationship. We delete or anonymise it when those purposes cease, unless a legal retention duty or an actual dispute requires continued storage. Required accounting records are generally retained for ten years; that does not mean every enquiry is kept for ten years. Operational logs and backups follow the relevant provider lifecycle and any legal preservation requirement. We use encrypted transport and restrict access to authorised accounts. No transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your rights and applicable law

Swiss data protection law applies. Where the GDPR applies, processing is based on steps towards a contract or contract performance, legal obligations, our legitimate interests in secure operation and responding to enquiries, or consent for optional tracking. You may request access, correction, deletion, information about transfers and, where applicable, restriction or data portability. You can object to processing and withdraw consent prospectively. Rights may be limited by statutory duties or overriding interests; we explain any restriction. Access requests are normally answered within 30 days after appropriate identity verification. Contact filip@visualbite.ch or write to the company address. You may also contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner at edoeb.admin.ch, or another competent authority.

External services and updates

Instagram and restaurant links open external services with their own notices. AR features requested by you may open Apple or Google viewers or ask your browser for camera permission; this marketing website does not upload camera recordings. We do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects solely by automated processing through this enquiry form. We update this notice when processing changes; new optional purposes require a new choice.
